The basics
For anyone new to PFAS or to Verarbo.
What is Verarbo PFAS?
Software that helps manufacturers find out whether PFAS rules affect them, collect the evidence from their suppliers, and produce regulator reports and customer declarations.
You can use it directly as a company, or through a consultant who uses it on your behalf.
Does my business need to deal with PFAS?
Most businesses don't need PFAS in their products. What matters is whether you make, import, use or sell anything that contains them, or sell to customers who ask you to prove you don't.
It's worth a closer look if any of these apply:
- Your products, coatings, plastics, seals or treated materials may contain fluorinated substances.
- You import chemicals, mixtures or finished goods into Canada or the US.
- You sell into Minnesota, Maine or other US states with PFAS product laws, or into the EU.
- A customer has sent you a PFAS questionnaire or asked for a PFAS declaration.
Is this legal advice?
No. Verarbo provides software and keeps its regulatory content up to date. Decisions about how a rule applies to your business are yours, or your consultant's. If you need an interpretation, we can introduce you to a partner consultant.
Who is behind Verarbo?
Verarbo is a small, focused company. That's why the product is designed for customers and consultants to do their own setup, with tooling that makes it fast, rather than relying on our hands-on services.
For companies
For manufacturers using Verarbo directly.
What do we do, and what does Verarbo do?
| Task | Your team | Verarbo |
|---|---|---|
| Import your materials, products and supplier lists | Yes | Import tools and templates |
| Map your data where it doesn't fit a template | Yes | Mapping tool with checks |
| Request declarations from suppliers | Yes | Supplier portal with automatic reminders |
| Review and sign off results | Yes | Records who approved what, and when |
| Keep substance lists, definitions and deadlines current | Yes | |
| Reports, exports, security, uptime, billing | Yes |
These responsibilities are set out in your contract.
What does it cost?
Priced per company, not per user, billed annually.
| Company size | Per year |
|---|---|
| Small (under 50 employees, one site) | $1,200 |
| Mid-sized (50 to 500 employees) | $2,400 |
| Large or multi-site | Quoted |
| Each additional site | $450 |
Optional: onboarding help ($500 to $2,000 one-time), AI document extraction (usage-based) and ERP connectors. Annual prepayment saves 15%; multi-year terms save more. Prices in USD.
How long does setup take?
It depends mostly on how organized your data is. If your materials and supplier lists are in spreadsheets that match a template, you can start the same day. Unusual exports take longer to map. Supplier responses take the longest, which is why reminders are automatic.
Can we work with a consultant instead?
Yes. A partner consultant can run Verarbo for you and handle setup, mapping and supplier follow-up as part of their service. Ask us for an introduction.
For consultants
For EHS, regulatory and compliance consultants who want to serve clients with Verarbo.
How does the partnership work?
You use Verarbo to deliver PFAS work for your clients. You own the client relationship and the advice; Verarbo provides the platform and regulatory content.
| Task | You | Verarbo |
|---|---|---|
| Client onboarding, data collection and mapping | Yes | Self-serve tools |
| Supplier follow-up | Yes | Supplier portal |
| Advice and sign-off | Yes | Approval records |
| Your clients' day-to-day questions | Yes | Support for you |
| Regulatory content, reports, exports, platform | Yes |
What does it cost partners?
An annual platform fee plus a licence for each client company you serve. The per-client price falls as you add clients.
| Item | Per year |
|---|---|
| Platform fee | $3,000 |
| Per client, 1 to 9 clients | $450 |
| Per client, 10 to 49 clients | $350 |
| Per client, 50 or more | $300 |
Large or multi-site clients cost more per licence. The platform fee includes certification, white-label reports and access for your own AI tools. Prices in USD.
Can I resell it as part of my service?
Yes. Partner pricing sits well below the direct price, so you can include it in your fees at a margin. Reports can carry your branding.
What if a client's data doesn't fit a template?
You map it with the mapping tool: match columns, convert values, preview, and check for errors before importing. Save the mapping and reuse it for the next client on the same system.
Mappings you build can stay private or be published for other partners, and you earn a share when they're used.
Who is responsible for the results?
Whoever signs off. Verarbo checks data and flags problems, but the conclusion and the declaration are the consultant's or the client's, as set out in the partner contract.
Founding programme
A limited number of places for early customers and partners.
Early places, lower prices
The first customers and partners get the largest discounts, locked in for up to two years, in exchange for feedback and a case study.
What are the founding discounts?
| Who | Discount | Locked for |
|---|---|---|
| Companies 1 to 5 (pilot) | 40 to 50% | 24 months |
| Companies 6 to 20 | 25 to 30% | 18 months |
| Companies 21 to 50 | 10 to 15% | 12 months |
| Partners 1 to 3 (design partners) | Platform fee waived for year 1, 30% off per client | 24 months |
| Partners 4 to 10 | 50% off platform fee, 20% off per client | 18 months |
What do founding customers commit to?
- Annual prepayment.
- Regular feedback while we shape the product.
- A short case study or reference (pilot companies and design partners); a testimonial for later places.
- For partners 4 to 10: at least five clients in the first year and completing certification.
Founding discounts don't combine with other discounts. When the locked period ends, pricing moves to the standard rate, as stated in the contract.
Data and AI
How client data is kept separate and how AI is used.
Who can see our data?
Each client company's data is kept separate. A consultant sees only the clients they serve. Every import, change and approval is logged.
How is AI used?
AI helps read safety data sheets and other documents, and suggests how to map your data. It only creates drafts: nothing is imported or declared without a person approving it, and every result is checked by fixed rules, not by the AI.
Can consultants use their own AI tools?
Yes. Partners can connect their own AI assistants through a standard connection (MCP) to do mapping work, under the same rules: drafts only, the same checks, and access limited to their own clients. Partners who prefer not to can use the built-in assistant.
Do we keep ownership of our data?
Yes. Your data is yours, and you can export it.
Rules covered
Status as of October 2026. Dates change often; we update the content as they do.
Which regulations does Verarbo track?
| Region | Rule | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Canada | CEPA section 71 notices, including the 2026 Chemicals Management Plan notices | Phase 1 reporting closes March 3, 2027 |
| Canada | National Pollutant Release Inventory (PFAS added) | From the 2025 reporting year |
| US | TSCA section 8(a)(7) PFAS reporting | Reporting window opens by January 31, 2027 at the latest |
| Minnesota | Amara's Law (PFAS in products) | Initial reports were due September 15, 2026; broad ban from 2032 |
| EU | Proposed universal PFAS restriction | Expert opinions due by end of 2026, then a Commission proposal |
Plus PFAS questionnaires and declarations requested by customers, especially in automotive and electronics supply chains.
What happens when a rule changes?
We update the regulatory content once, centrally, and every account uses the new version. Results record which version they were checked against.
